Vanessa
Afrofest Youth Zone is glad to welcome back Vanessa Campbell, a member of Theatre Baobab. Vanessa is a graduate of Wexford Collegiate for the Arts. She has been acting for six years. Since appearing at Afrofest Youth Zone 2008, Vanessa has been attending Concordia University where she is majoring in Theatre and Development. Vanessa will be performing a piece called Nyanibah’s Songs that she co-wrote with Kwame Stephens. This dramatic piece deals with Kwame Nkrumah’s mother - Nyanibah – and her perspective of the past presidentat various stages of his life/death. |
